A bomb blast killed three soldiers and two civilians in the Pakistani city of Quetta on Wednesday, according to officials.
The bomb, attached to a motorcycle, exploded near a security vehicle escorting school children.
Sixteen people were wounded in the blast.
Police and paramilitary forces cordoned off the area following the blast and the injured were transported to a military hospital.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack in Pakistan's biggest but poorest province which borders Afghanistan and Iran, where several militant groups are active.
