Chicago Blackhawks fans poured onto the streets of the city's Loop district and filled a massive rally at Grant Park to celebrate the team's victory over the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Championship.
The team rode double decker buses along the parade route with players hoisting the Stanley Cup trophy from the top deck for cheering fans.
Team captain Jonathan Toews spoke to the crowd at Friday's Grant Park rally.
"I can't think of a better bunch of guys to represent this city. Har working guys, down to earth guys who go out there and play for each other every single shift to represent this city and what it means right here. To bring the Stanley Cup home twice in four years is absolutely unbelievable.
The Blackhawks stunned the Boston Bruins in game six scoring twice in the final 76 seconds to steal what seemed an improbable 3-2 victory and take the best-of-seven final 4-2. The victory was the team's second championship in four years.
