China called for international rules to regulate cyber space on Monday (July 1) after a report that the United States has been spying on its European allies.
A German magazine reported that the United States had tapped EU offices in Washington, Brussels and at theUnited Nations.
Computer hacking is a tough issue between China and the United States.
U.S. intelligence leaders have said that cyber attacks and cyber espionage had supplanted terrorism as the top security threat facing the United States.
