Production began on Tuesday for the official UK commemorative coin to mark the christening of baby Prince George, the first child of Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

This is the first time that new UK coins have been produced to mark a Royal christening, and it all happened at the Royal Mint in Wales.  The coins will vary in price tag, but if you have $50,000 Pounds you can be the limited edition gold coin which weighs one kilo. But you better be fast as only 22 of these huge coins will be made.

The christening will take place on October 23rd at the Chapel Royal in St James Palace. Prince George’s official title is His Royal Highness, Prince George of Cambridge. He was born on July 22nd and he is third in line of the British throne.
