Dense fog shrouded the Dazu District in southwest China Wednesday morning, reducing the visibility in urban area to less than 100 meters.
Local meteorological department issued a third class yellow warning for fog in the morning to alert drivers and pedestrians.
China has a three-tier fog alert system, with red being the most serious, followed by orange, and yellow.
The fog that covered roads, bridges and buildings in the Dazu district reduced the visibility on two main roads to even less than 50 meters.
For safety reasons, vehicles all opened the fog lights while moving slowly. The traffic order in Dazu was normal and no traffic congestion was reported.
