Dior brought the wow factor to the runway in Paris for Haute Couture week with a focus on strips, glamor and shimmer. Block colors, fringes and layering all created a visual feast for the eyes and of those watching from the front row was Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Creative director Raf Simons clearly had fun with this collection but kept the classic Dior shape of the nipped in waist highlighting a woman’s curves. Reinventing the classic hounds tooth pattern Simons used warm colors of oranges, yellows but kept also the signature black and white.
All eyes were on the clothes, as the hair was kept minimal pulled back as the models lips sparkled in hues of metallic. The Dior presentation marks the second day of Paris Haute Couture fashion week which was kicked off by Versace on Sunday.
