DJIA: Futures Climb as Greece Deal Approved, GE to Hire 5,000 U.S. Veterans

The Greek government came under pressure today to convince skeptical European capitals that it would stick to the terms of a multi-billion-euro rescue package endorsed by lawmakers during violent protests on the streets of Athens.

In U.S. news...

Economists reported that sales at retailers climbed in January as Americans bought more new cars and shoppers took advantage of post-holiday promotions.

And in company news...

General Electric plans to hire five thousand U.S. military veterans over the next five years and to invest 580 million dollars to expand its aviation footprint in the United States this year.
