Eight Dead After Tour Bus Crashes In California

At least eight people are dead and 42 are injured after a tour bus crashed in California. Authorities confirmed the bus was leaving the Big Bear Mountain Resort area about 80 miles east of Los Angeles heading to Mexico at the time of the crash. The crash occurred at approximately 6:30pm. Injured people at the scene were in a state of shock at the horror they just witnessed: "Yeah, it's ok. At first it hurt a little bit but right now, I'm ok." "It's the most horrible thing that I have lived." The crash involved the tour bus, a truck pulling a trailer and a car: Thirty nine people were on board the bus, with another four in the other vehicles. The death toll is expected to increase as authorities attempt to pull bodies from inside the bus. Witnesses recalled they saw smoke coming from the back of the bus.
