Most of the U.S woke up today in freezing weather, as most parts of the nation are under weather warnings and storm watches. A blanket of snow and icy winds are now expected to continue across the country, with the weather easing in the next few days.
This sort of extreme cold could bring the coldest weather the nation has seen in 20 years. Already the weather has been linked to 13 deaths, as experts are warning against hypothermia and frost-bite.
The dense artic air has been described as dangerously cold, and people should take precautions when considering their health and safety.
