Fatal Flooding In Japan Claims At Least 1 Life

Hundreds of people have been rescued across western Japan after torrential rain and flash flooding caused havoc and claimed at least one life on Monday. An additional three other people are reported as missing. Rescue efforts were executed as helicopters circled above to rescue those stranded.

Residents are now dealing with the on-going torrential rain and fear of mudslides, while they have been warned to stay diligent and aware of the risks. 40 troops have been deployed in remote villages to help those who were trapped. Thousands of people across western Japan have been told to evacuate as heavy rain is predicted to continue for the next few days across other parts of the country.
