Typhoon Bopha has reportedly killed more than 230 people in the Philippines and forced 120,000 residents to evacuate on Wednesday as strong winds and heavy floods swept through several provinces in the country's south.
As of 11:00 local time, state meteorologists said the eye of Typhoon Bopha was located at 130 km northeast of Puerto Princesa City. It has slowed down and weakened slightly as it moved over northern Palawan province.
The typhoon also caused more than 100 flights to be canceled in the country's airports, and power and communication services are suspended in many regions.
