Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan home on Sunday after an alleged drug over dose, from heroine. While the world waits for the official cause of death, after an autopsy today, we remember his body of work that cements him as one of the greatest actors that ever was.

He was nominated for an Oscar 3 times for supporting roles, then in 2005 he won for his captivating performance as Truman Capote in ‘Capote’. As a method actor he was known to really delve into the character, and become them for the truest performance possible.

His family, has released a statement to the press saying “ We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support”.
