Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff burst out in song while joining a campaign in Germany on Sunday to save a part of the Berlin Wall.
Local developers want to demolish part of the Berlin Wall to build a bridge, but Hasselhoff and others want to preserve what remains of the historic Cold War symbol.
While visiting the wall, Hasselhoff was cheered on by thousands of mostly young protesters as he performed his former hit song ‘Looking for Freedom.’
Around 6,000 people protested to keep the part of the Berlin Wall intact after German media reported that investors had planned the construction of a 120 meter high building that would have required the demolition of part of the monument, Reuters reported.
Such demolitions are currently no longer planned, according to media reports.
