Four Australian women were injured in a landslide on Monday as they hiked along a panoramic road above the Ligurian coast in Italy. Rocks fell from an overhang on the Via dell Amore that runs between the hilltop towns.
The group was hit by the falling rocks as they were walking by, enjoying the spectacular views along the coastline. One of the Australians was airlifted by helicopter to a nearby hospital. One other is also seriously injured with the remaining two being treated for light injuries and shock.
