Firefighters and police officer in east China successfully rescued a child from a construction-site hole in Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province.
The four-year-old girl, who lives nearby the construction site, fell into the hole while playing around Saturday afternoon, reports say.
After receiving an emergency call at 15:07, local firefighters and police officers rushed to the site.
Upon their arrival, rescue workers discovered a hole measuring around 30 centimeters in diameter and six-meters in depth and the girl could not move.
The firefighters then decided to use an excavator to dig a rescue passage 50 centimeters west from the hole to rescue the girl while providing oxygen to her by mobile oxygen supply.
At 18:15, the rescue was successfully completed as the girl was out of danger around 19:00, who was later sent to a nearby hospital.
