Funeral For Jack Pinto: The Six Year Old Who Loved The New York Giants

Funeral Services were held for Connecticut shooting victim Jack Pinto on Monday, (December 17) a six-year-old fan of the New York Giants football team. Pinto, who died in the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, was remembered along with all of the shooting victims with moments of silence and other tributes at Sunday's NFL games. Pinto's favorite player, Victor Cruz, paid personal tribute with written messages on his cleats. Cruz, who has spoken to Pinto's family and plans to make a personal visit, wrote "RIP Jack Pinto" and "Jack Pinto-my hero" across his red shoes. At Monday's service about a half dozen children wearing a wrestling's club gold medals took off the awards and gave them to their teammate's parents. Jack Pinto was wearing a red-and-white jersey with receiver Cruz's number 80 as he lay in an open white casket at the service. Funeral services were also held on Monday for Pinto's classmate Noah Pozner, also six, in nearby Fairfield, Connecticut.
