Gary Hunt of Great Britain flew into victory winning the Azores cliff diving World Series for 2013 on Saturday. The final round of diving saw Hunt execute a round dive of a front somersault with one and a half twists to earn the day’s highest score of 151.20.
Hunt spoke about his impressive win, with a final score of 481.05:
"It's a great sense of relief and a great achievement. It's been tough this year and to get on top of that podium was, I mean I felt like I really had to make a stand here today and get really stuck in to the season so I couldn't be happier that I finished first,"
This is the third round of the 2013 World Series: From the middle of the Atlantic, the competition will then move to Garda, Italy in two weeks’ time.
