London morning commuters got a surprise on Tuesday (December 11) when they were greeted with the sight of a giant rubber duck sailing up the Thames River.
The 50ft-high duck set sail from the Canary Wharf business district in the city's south east.
It was towed behind a small tugboat.
The iconic Tower Bridge was raised to allow it through.
The giant duck took to the river as part of a PR stunt for an online bingo site which is staging a promotion in December encouraging more Britons to have more fun.
That's a welcome explanation for onlookers who thought they were quacking up.
