Giorgio Armani channeled a French theme for his collection of women’s wear for autumn/winter at Milan Fashion Week. With masculine silhouettes the Italian designer created beautifully structured pieces for the strong, powerful, modern woman. From evening gowns in silk, to jackets and furs Armani ticked every box for the cooler months.
Large suspenders, berets, long skirts, and jumpsuits walked the runway for a truly sophisticated show. Armani was the last major show to close Milan Fashion Week. The designer worked with a palate of black, white and violet blue.
After the show Armani himself told reporters that 70% of his annual sales were from his clothing, as opposed to his accessories and perfume. His collection reflected that he knows what women want to wear with his classic and diverse array of glamorous and sheik separates and gowns.
