Ash filled the sky on Sunday as a volcano erupted in Japan’s Kagoshima city: The ash shoot up 5 kilometers above the volcano making it the second highest eruption since Japan started recording heights in 2006. Covered in ash were buildings and vehicles as people struggled to breathe with ease.
The locals are surrounded by 11 volcanoes but Sunday’s eruption came as a surprise when the sky suddenly turned black. By Monday morning however most of the ash had cleared, as the city appeared back to normal.
While meteorologists have said that eruptions may happen again. They have ruled out the possibility of bigger eruptions.
