The hotel maid who accused former International Monetary Fund chief, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, of sexually assaulting her, arrived in a New York state court on Monday (December 10) along with her lawyer.
Wearing a scarf over her head, Nafissatou Diallo arrived at a court house in the New York City borough of the Bronx along with her lawyer Kenneth Thompson.
The court date comes less than two weeks after a source familiar with the matter said the two sides had reached a preliminary agreement to settle the case.
It is expected that a judge in the case may announce a settlement to Diallo's civil lawsuit against Strauss-Kahn.
The source said details of the settlement are not likely to be made public at the hearing, which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EST (1900 GMT).
