For some bargain hunters in the south of France, the house of your dreams now comes with a 10 euro price tag. A new estate agency based in the region decided to take to the stress out of house-hunting by selling properties through a lottery, funded with tickets costing 10 Euros. How it works the agency sells enough tickets so they asking price plus commission on the property are reached. This 115 square meter home, with views of the harbor and its own pool is now combating the economic crisis in a unique way. Lottery tickets went on sale in December, and the lucky winners were able to move into their new property just last week. The company selling the tickets is officially registered and entirely legal. Potential purchasers were able to buy five tickets per person, per month.
