Indian Couple Found Guilty Of Burning, Beating Son

A Norwegian court sentenced an Indian man to 18 months and his wife to 15 months in prison on Tuesday (December 4) for gross or repeated maltreatment of their 7-year-old son. In its verdict, the court went along with the prosecution's line and found the couple guilty of burning the boy and hitting him with a belt. The mother's lawyer said the couple denied the charges and would appeal. The couple insists they are not guilty. The couple's children are currently with their grandparents in India.
