The annual shark watching trip on Wednesday attracted many visitors the South African town of Gansbaai. As part of this year’s Whale Watching Festival, the event allowed people to see and interact with the Great White Shark in its natural habitat.
Once at sea, baits were thrown into the water surrounding the small boat and eager participants were lowered into the water inside a shark cage. Within ten minutes some Great Whites are within touching distance.
The Shark Watching Trip is a way in which people can learn the true nature of the animal, not from their savage personalities portrayed in films.
