A massive ice wall blew ashore in a small Canadian town northeast of Winnipeg on Friday evening. The wall of ice was thawed by spring temperatures, and the high winds caused the wall to plummet to the shoreline.
The damage was instant as the violent wall crashed into homes as residents feared for their lives.
"I mean I've never been in a tornado but I'm going to assume it sounded something like that. It was just a big roar and you could see it coming, and you keep thinking it's not coming any farther, it's going to stop, but it just kept on coming."
Now residents are left with the ordeal of clean up and rebuild after many homes and cottages were destroyed.
