At least one house was damaged after a massive landslide struck Whidbey Island in Washington state on Wednesday (March 27).
Aerial images show a broken hillside with destroyed trees and the debris of the damaged house.
The landslide also took out a road, cutting off access to more than a dozen homes in the oceanside community.
There were no injuries, but the landslide cut off power and water supply to the area.
Local media reported that residents heard a thunder-like boom at around 4:15am local time (1115gmt).
The landslide remains a threat to many other houses in area and residents have been asked to evacuate the neighborhood.
