Fu Suqing has been recognized with a rare honor: At the age of 115 this woman who comes from China has been recognized as the world’s oldest person born in 1897. Fu is a mother of six children and has a total of 48 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Despite having eyesight and hearing problems Fu is in good shape. Fu’s great-granddaughter is now applying to the Guinness World Records after the man who was recognized as the world’s oldest at 115 died in Japan.
Government data reveals that China has nearly 50,000 centenarians; Perhaps China holds the secret for long life, could it be something in the water?
