Now in retirement with 22 medals under his belt, the most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps has turned his sights on becoming a top golfer. He’s already signed on with Tiger Woods’s former coach on a reality show for the Golf Channel. His Goal- to reach the PGA tour:
"Well, I mean, I've had a bunch of friends who've said I can retire [from golf] because you'll probably never have that putt again, so. . . I'm glad I got that one out of the way first and, um, I'm improving a lot out on the golf course, but it's just something that's completely different for me -- something I'm not used to. I think whenever I would swim, I wouldn't think about anything. When I have a golf shot, I have to think about all the little small things like what sort of grip, the takeaway, if I'm opening or closing the clubhead -- there's just so much that's going on in my head, so I just try to think of all the small things that make the big difference."
Phelps still has a long way to go, but in the meantime the Olympic great also runs a foundation that supports the sport of swimming and promotes a healthier way of living.
