Murder Mystery Intensifies As Italy’s Highest Court Orders A Retrial For Amanda Knox

Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend, who were acquitted of murder in 2011, have had a court over-turn that decision and order a retrial. The decision came from Italy’s top court on Tuesday for the murder of Meredith Kercher. The decision adds a new twist to a case that has sent shock waves around the world and divided a nation. Knox and her ex -boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito were acquitted of murder in 2011 after serving four years in prison. But the prosecution in the appeals case appealed Knox’s acquittal. Kercher was found half naked with more than 40 wounds and a deep gash in her throat. She was found like this in the apartment she was sharing with Knox in Perugia.
