Walking across a 2 inch steel cable with no harness, is a stunt that would make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up in fear, but Nik Wallenda managed to achieve greatness as he completed the stunt across the Grand Canyon.
In a time of 22 minutes and 54 seconds the dare devil walked 1,400 feet as the event was broadcast across the world. The stunt was complete with no harness or safety net. Wallenda although scared, maintained the importance of keeping his focus:
"It was way windier and the movement of the cable, the sidewalls as I was walking were getting in the way and confusing as the pendulums was swinging against them so I tried to react and when I reacted I kicked that rhythm into the cable and it took every bit of me to stay focused the entire time."
Wallenda, 34 comes from a strong family history of dare devils and made history last year by becoming the only person to walk a high wire over the brink of Niagara Falls.
