Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week has been nothing short of astonishing. Day three presented dazzling displays from international designers, showcasing flamboyant and other-worldly fashions that one could only dream of.

Lebanese designer Elie Saab's Spring-Summer 2012 collection brought whimsy to Paris. The designer presented pretty pastels in flowing girly fabrics.

Saab, known for his red carpet-ready gowns and A-list clientele, added rosettes, lace and a hint of sparkle to make his outfits really stand out.

Saab unveiled a light as feather show for his latest couture collection on Wednesday (January 25).

The designer unveiled ball gowns in a sea of pastels from mint, peach, periwinkle, grey and cream with splashes of shimmer for his spring/summer collection.

Much of the fabric was sheer below the waist, and the floral prints on full skirts gave gowns an air of royalty... showing why Saab is one of the undisputed kings of red carpet dressing.

Shoulders were emphasized to mark the structure of the dresses, in thick layers of tulle or silk, embroidered with silver.

Saab said he found his inspiration in fairytales, which appeals to the child memory of all women.

"In this collection I thought about a very modern princess, I thought of the fairytales which all girls dream of in order to come up with this collection which I hope you'll like. Concerning colors, I thought of very soft colors but ones that still retained the dazzle I wanted to achieve in this collection," he said after the show.

Today is jewelery day, with collections by Chanel and Dior.
