Philip Seymour Hoffman, Oscar winner, and father of 3 children was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Sunday from a drug overdose a little after 11am. The autopsy will be conducted today, while reports suggest that the cause of death was a heroin overdose.

Now as the world mourns his tragic death at the age of 46. we remember his body of work, that made him one of the most revered and respected actors of our generation. Most notable was the role of Truman Capote which won him a Oscar in 2005.

His battle with drugs is something that he has been quite open with, as new reports suggest that the actor was spending up to $10,000 a month on his drug habit. It is alleged that Hoffman has been battling drugs since his 20’s and has spent time in rehab facilities.
