Braving the cold for a 200 mile trek is a far cry from the walls of Buckingham Palace, but the adventurous Prince Harry touched down in Antarctica to prepare for his trek around the South Pole on November 30th.
"It's amazing how in six hours your morale can go from... I mean it was pretty high, almost pouring over the edge. And suddenly you’re rock bottom. I mean, the weather forecast is supposedly alright, but it seems to be getting worse. It's normally blue sky and sunshine... but [we'll] make the most of it. But as Guy said, it's just nice to be here I think."
This expedition is far from inviting with extreme weather conditions and below freezing temperatures. The trek will last until December 16th when Prince Harry will reach the South Pole in honor of The Walking with the Wounded Charity, with whom he is a patron of.
