In Prague the trial has begun of the American lead singer charged with manslaughter after pushing a fan from a stage at a concert in Prague in 2010. The band is heavy metal and is called Lamb of God. The accused singer, Randy Blythe appeared in court smartly dressed but refused to comment on the case.
He was released in August of last year after posting bail of eight million Czech crowns which is $420,000 USD. The disgraced rocker now faces a prison term of five to ten years if he is convicted. It is reported that Blythe kicked the fan off the stage where he hit a concrete floor.
The fan who was trying to climb on stage died two weeks later. The family of the victim is also demanding compensation of over half a million USD. The case is expected to continue till Friday February 8th.
