A rare orange diamond has sold at Auction in Geneva for a whopping $35.5 million. Christie’s has set a new record per carat price of any diamond with this impressive piece that is a VS1 diamond of 14.8 carats.

The fancy orange diamond was vivid in its color and now stands to hold the world record price per carat of any colored diamond sold at auction. What is also rare about this piece is its unique pear shape.
