Hosts Sarah Jessica Parker and actor Gerard Butler kicked off the traditional Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo on Tuesday (December 11) evening.
For the last eighteen years, on December 11, the day after the Nobel awards ceremony, the Nobel Peace Prize concert recognizes the laureate's achievements with a musical tribute.
This year, the concert will honour the European Union that won the prestigious prize for helping to transform Europe "from a continent of wars to a continent of peace" in the decades since World War Two.
"Good evening, good evening, the nineteenth time great artists from all over the world have gathered here in this beautiful city of Oslo for the Nobel Peace Prize concert," Parker said opening up the show after Kylie Minogue had performed two of her songs.
Also in attendence? Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo.
The concert is broadcast globally from the Spektrum arena in the Norwegian capital.
