An American couple by the name of David Dyche, Rosemary and their son David left New Zealand on a 21 meter schooner bound for Australia. Joining them were four crew members one of which was British. But something went wrong as the yacht on which they were sailing has not been seen, and now a full search is underway for the missing seven people. Neville Blakemore from the search team commented on the intense search:

". So we are assuming that it's not in the search area and it's probably had a catastrophic event, probably around the last known positions on the 4th of June and we're basing our search today based on that information,"

A meteorologist was contacted by a crew member on June 3rd to discuss the bad weather, and the last form of communication was on June 4th when they text messaged a request for a weather update.

Now a full search is underway on the north coast of New Zealand for any sign of the seven people, the life raft or the yacht.
