The International Consumer Electronics Show of 2012 was packed with every tech gadget, service, or product you could think of... but how cool could your device really be without the perfect accessory? Smartphones are hot, and the cases on display at CES were even hotter. Bling My Thing, a Berlin based company, had their Autumn and Winter 2011-2012 collection on display, and the cases certainly did shine. Bling My Thing has teamed up with Swarovski to make a line of blingy new cases for the iPhone 4/4S, Sony Ericsson Xperia ray and arc, Samsung Galaxy S2, and BlackBerry Bold. CES 2012 was the perfect spot for Bling My Thing to show off their latest creations, which cost roughly $50 each. BMT was founded in 2005 in Berlin, but recently the company told IBTimes TV they are trying to break into the North American market, aiming their cases at smart phone using women. All Bling My Thing designs are originals, designed by Japanese designer Ayano Kimura, and include deeply embedded Swarovski element crystals, which are applied individually by skilled BMT craftsmen. Some of the designs include the Milky Way, Flower, Diffusion, Stripe, Butterflies, Dot Matrix, Elegance, and of course, for Brits and Brit lovers alike, God Save the Bling! All Bling My Thing cases are made with a clear, durable polycarbonate with scratch resistant coating, and all of their designs come in transparent and metallic mirror finishes. Not to be outdone, the CoverFace, from South Korea, offered up a few of their specialty cases, including a few familiar faces. The company started 30 years ago, printing the spec stickers you find on the front of Samsung products when they are fresh out of the box. But now, they offer a very cool selection of smartphone covers for Apple, Samsung, and BlackBerry devices. CoverFace encourages consumers to be different, creative, and spontaneous with their cases. John, a CoverFace representative, explained why their phone cases are tough to beat. John told IBTimes TV that CoverFace recently teamed up with Bravado, giving them free reign to use the likeness of huge stars like Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Katy Perry, the Beatles, Eminem, the Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber. Like Bling My Thing, CoverFace has also teamed up with Swarovski, implementing the cubic's from Swarovski into their character cases. Their wildly popular line, the King Head series, which features historic figures like Frida Kahlo, King Tut, and Alice in Wonderland, has one gem on each case to give it that little extra something. Their Leather series offers animal print cases that were manufactured with the highest quality film to give an appearance of real leather. If you want something simple, that still speaks volumes, look to their color series which includes 4 bold neon colors designed especially for you by the CoverFace team. CoverFace even encourages its customers to submit their own ideas to the CoverFace website.
