Sony Unveils PlayStation 4: Their First Video Console In Seven Years

Sony Corp is determined to become the video game giant they once were, with the release of their first video games console in seven years on Wednesday. The PlayStation 4 will play video games hosted on servers, to make the most personalized game experience to date. Andy House, President of Sony Computers Entertainment spoke about the new development and the future of gaming: "It's a thrill to be with you today. The stakes are high for what we're going to show you. Today marks a moment of truth and a bold step forward for PlayStation as a company, as creators and innovators, and as industry leaders. Today, we will give you a glimpse into the future of play. A re-imagination of the gaming experience that has been developer led, consumer inspired, and powerfully and thoughtfully engineered by Sony Computer Entertainment. It's designed to make accessing the content game easier than ever. It's conceived as the most personalized gaming experience available today. It is, consistent with our heritage in gaming, delivering the most powerful platform ever." Sony confirmed that the new video console will be available for purchase by the holiday season this year.
