Storm Dion has hit most of the US with intense fury by way of snow, ice, freezing rain and sleet. Some regions have been given storm warnings, while some stayed home today, with several schools being closed across the country. New York City woke to snow, as many regions already felt Dion over the weekend.
While the weather is different from state to state, it does appear that Storm Dion will ease in most parts of the country by Tuesday. Thus far thousands of flights have been cancelled and traffic accidents due to the storm continue to be reported. Commuters have also been affected with train and bus delays.
The storm will cold and intense should not make you worry if you take simple safety precautions; If you are travelling, take your time, allow that time for delays and traffic, and wear your seat-belt while driving. Check in with airports for flight delays and cancellations. Be sure to dress appropriately as winter is in full swing, so enjoy a cup of hot chocolate as you watch the snow fall from your window.
