Tragedy struck Buenos Aires on Tuesday with severe flooding and torrential rain that has thus far claimed five lives. Flash flooding in the capital causes many cars to be fully submerged under water, as people begun to search for blocked drains, to remove the water.
It has been a record downpour for the month of April as Buenos Aires has received over 6.57 inches of rain in just two hours. Train and bus services have also been affected, making mobility near impossible. Four of those who died were killed from drowning; the fifth was electrocuted after stepping on wet railway lines.
