Crashing down on Mexico’s La Pintada was a huge mudslide that killed at least 15 people while dozens of others remain missing. The terrifying storms and flooding that has ravaged Mexico is now responsible for killing almost 100 people as the torrential rain was sparked by Tropical Storm Manuel.
288 people were rescued after the mudslide hit, while 58 others remain unaccounted for. Officials and rescue teams were called to the area to help assist the town who were hit with sudden and deadly force by the mudslide that came without warning.
This is just the latest in a series of tragedies and loss of lives caused by Tropical Storm Ingrid and Manuel. Many of the missing are feared to be buried under the mud as rescue efforts try to dig among the muddy debris.
It is estimated that over one million people across the country of Mexico have been affected by the ferocious storms.
