A Chinese photographer caught an endangered species of snow leopard on infrared camera in northwest China, and he unveiled the footage to the media on Thursday.
The photographer, who has shot wildlife photography for eight years, has managed to catch the activity of the rare snow leopard for the second time.
He released video of snow leopards at night that he shot last October, and last month, on the same mountain, he caught the leopards during the day.
The 30-second long video, taken by an infrared camera, pictures a curious snow leopard sniffing around a rock and walking toward the camera.
While the photographer is an avid nature lover, he has only seen snow leopards in person once.
According to reports, the wild snow leopards, whose population has dwindled dramatically due to poaching and shrinking habitats, are listed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s Red List of Threatened Species.
