Welcome to 60 Sec Tech - one minute of what you need to know in technology.

Vizio, a brand best known for its affordable televisions, now claims they’ve made the “best TV in the world.” Their new line, dubbed the “Reference Series,” will be announced as 65 and 120 inch models at the Consumer Electronics Show this week. The 120 inch model is larger than the recent 4K resolution king: Samsung’s 110 inch OLED TV.

Also at CES: two new drones from prominent French manufacturer “Parrot” will be unveiled this week at the electronics show. The first is a ground unit known as the Sumo, equipped with a camera and a “foot” to spring the drone nearly three feet in the air. The second is the flying “MiniDrone,” a smaller version of the company’s popular “AR Drone.”

Finally, T-Mobile has purchased spectrum licenses from Verizon to boost their low-band spectrum holdings. The deal will give T-Mobile low-band spectrum in nine of the top ten US cities, as the company attempts to climb higher than its number four position in the US market. The plan should be finalized by summertime.

That wraps it up. Join us next time for 60 Sec Tech.
